Prediction of strawberry fruit yield based on cultivar-specific growth models in the tunnel-type greenhouse

Abstract The strawberry growth and fruit yield of five Korean cultivars in the tunnel-type greenhouse predicted using their growth. number leaves, petiole length, leaf length width, crown diameter, ratio red far-red (RFR) were measured during cultivation period. leaves all exhibited a similar trend this period; plant ‘Maehyang’ longest, trends except for ‘Jukhyang’, width ‘Arihyang’, was diameter ‘Keumsil’ thickest. RFR associated with multiple linear regression. When single model used to predict cultivars, correlation between expected actual r = 0.53. cultivar-specific models built prediction, increased 0.77. results indicated that could be better by considering information, so it may necessary consider individual specifically rather than simultaneously.
